Every single piece in this gallery was made by a child — most of whom had never held a paintbrush before their first class. What you see here is not talent. It is patience, encouragement, and practice — the three things every child gets in equal measure at Siri Arts.

My students range from age 5 to 16. The younger ones start with pencil and basic colour. The older ones move into sketching, watercolour, and acrylic. Each child works at their own pace — there are no grades here, no comparisons. Only the quiet satisfaction of making something with your own hands.

Colour is taught through mixing, not memorising. A child learns what happens when yellow meets blue, or when you add white to deepen a shadow. Every class is hands-on — brushes in hand, paper in front, experimenting freely.

Creativity isn't a gift some children have and others don't. It is a skill that grows with every class, every mistake corrected, every painting finished and held up with pride.

How We Teach

Observe & Draw

We start with shapes, lines and observation — drawing what the child actually sees, not what they think it looks like.

🌈

Explore Colour

Mixing primary colours by hand — learning warm vs. cool, light vs. dark, and how colour creates mood and depth.

🎨

Build Technique

Watercolour washes, acrylic layering, pencil shading — each medium introduced progressively so confidence grows with every tool.

Express Freely

With skills in hand, each child begins making creative choices — their own compositions, colour palettes, and stories told through art.

"Every child is an artist. My job is to make sure they believe it."
